The most convenient airports are Turin Caselle and Milan Malpensa, both well connected to the Aosta Valley. From there, you can continue by rental car, private transfer, or public transport to Pont-Saint-Martin, the main gateway to the Gressoney Valley.
The nearest railway station is Pont-Saint-Martin. From there, local buses connect the station with the Gressoney Valley, including Gressoney-La-Trinité and Staffal/Tschaval.
The local bus service is operated by V.I.T.A. S.p.A. We recommend checking the latest timetables before travelling, especially during holidays and high season.
The main route by car is:
A5 Turin–Aosta motorway → Pont-Saint-Martin exit → SR44 Valle del Lys road → Gressoney-La-Trinité → Tschaval / Staffal.
After leaving the motorway at Pont-Saint-Martin, follow the SR44 up the Gressoney Valley to Gressoney-La-Trinité, then continue towards Tschaval/Staffal.
During the winter months, we recommend checking road conditions before departure and travelling with winter tyres or snow chains on board.
